6 years later…

… I finally updated to gregorio 5.2.1. so you can start adding nabc as well. I recently added a bunch of new sources and I’ve also added SVG support.

As you might have noticed, in the last 6 years, Andrew Hinkley did typeset a few thousand more tunes…

Now that the database has passed 14000 entries, some work would be necessary in order to clean up all this… Good wills welcome 😉

Wonderful! I use this site a lot, including for a course I’m teaching on sung propers this month.

Collecting data is great; cleaning it is better. While it is more fun to submit scores, if anything can be done to help to clean items, please post what you need. Obviously, proofreading other peoples’ work seems a good place to start.

Is it possible to add new books? I.e. Les Heures Grégoriennes vol. I & vol. II and Antiphonale Romanum vol I? There are also two volumes of Graduale Novum

Thanks for the update! This will also allow lots of little tweaks that have been added to gregorio code to be used, like manually fixing episema heights.

I use GregoBase a ton, and try to remember to clean up the source code whenever I find an error…

I’m not sure that this is a side-effect of the update, but all the files are suddenly downloading with a space between the second pair of hyphens and the version name, like so:

    hy–stabat_mater– solesmes.gabc

These spaces cause errors in compiling unless manually edited.

Does anyone know what is the source of chants added by Jörg Hudelmaier and marked as Version: “Verona”?

I’m happy to see that there’s still active development going on behind the scenes. I reference this sight a ton and I find it an absolutely INVALUABLE resource! Thank you for all the hard work you do (and thank you to all the volunteers who input the chant too!). I’m a stickler on beautiful worship aids so I use this site to get fresh SVG & PDF files for use at our parish. Thank you so very, very much.

Hello, adding NABC coding to file requires also nabc-lines directive in header. This is not possible yet, or?

It is on by default but I forgot to add it in the gabc download…

There is also nabc-lines=1; set for all scores now?
Wouldn’t it be better to have the user to set some new parameter (possibly not only the value 1) and this way to have the possibility to clearly distinguish between the scores with and without NABC?

I have a pdf file containing a complete scan of a 1940 Domincan collection of chants, entitled Laudes Fesitvae: Lectionarium et Cantarium pro Diversitate Temporum et Festorum

How could I go about submitting this for addition to the sources?

Is this post requesting help to clean up or organize? If so, how can I help?
